Correctional Officer V Mark Loecken died as a result of contracting COVID-19 while serving at the Huntsville Unit at 815 12th Street in Huntsville.
Officer Loecken was a United States Army veteran who had served with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Correctional Institutions Division for over 38 years. He is survived by his four children, 11 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
