Deputy Sheriff Caden Mullins was killed when his cruiser was struck by a coal truck at the intersection of West Virginia Route 10 and Rum Creek Road at approximately 4:30 PM.
A passenger in the cruiser was airlifted to a nearby hospital.
Deputy Sheriff Mullins had served with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and worked part-time with the Town of Man Police Department. He had previously served with the Charleston Police Department. Survivors include his expectant wife, daughter, son, parents, and two brothers. One of his brothers also serves in law enforcement.
