Sergeant Daniel Kammerzell died from complications as the result of contracting COVID-19 in the line of duty.
Sergeant Kammerzell was a United States Marine Corps veteran who had served with the Shelby Township Police Department and previously served with the Detroit Police Department. He is survived by his wife, daughter, two sons, two grandchildren, parents, sister, and brother.
